About Our Fencing

Fencing covers closeboard, panel, picket and trellis styles along with gates, with timber or concrete posts set into proper concrete footings sized to the ground conditions rather than just driven in. Gravel boards are fitted at the base to keep panels off the soil, and we remove and dispose of any existing fence line being replaced.

Why Choose Us

We're a local team so we take the time to get boundary lines right and discuss anything that needs agreeing with a neighbour before we start.

Posts are set properly rather than rushed, and we clear the site of old fencing and offcuts as we go, covering Nottingham, Lincoln, Derby and Mansfield for the job and any follow-up.

What Affects the Price

  • Length of the fence run and height required
  • Fencing style, such as closeboard, panel or picket
  • Post type, timber against concrete, and footing depth needed for the ground
  • Number of gates and any changes in level along the run
  • Removal and disposal of existing fencing

Common Questions

Do you use concrete or timber posts?

We can fit either, concrete posts last longer and don't need treating, while timber posts give a more uniform look if you're matching existing fencing. We'll talk through which suits your fence line when we quote.

How deep do fence posts need to go in?

It depends on the fence height and ground conditions, but posts need enough depth in a concrete footing to stay solid in wind and wet ground, we'll size this to your specific run rather than a fixed depth for everything.

Can you fit a gate into an existing fence line?

Yes, we can add a gate as part of a new fence or fit one into an existing run, matching the style and setting proper posts either side to take the weight and hinges.
